Our CEO, Ryan O’Leary, spent 15 years in the Merchant Services Industry working for a couple Major Processors/Banks before he decided to start Sona. From working inside the industry, he started to see opportunities for more ethical ways for a merchant services company to operate. This vision was grounded in Ryan’s belief that business owners and CFO’s should see their merchant services company as a trusted partner versus just a ‘cost of doing business’. He wanted to build a company that would not just say they are transparent when explaining rates and fees but demonstrate this in their actions. Ryan also saw an opportunity to rise above his competitors by truly guaranteeing ‘Cost Certainty’ to his clients versus just simply following along with the competition.
